REALLY?!?! - SICK

SOME PEOPLE SHOULD BE SHOT

So this past weekend, on my way to enjoy a day at the beach, we drove past a church who was having their annual congregation gathering (a.k.a. carnival where people spend tons of money on tickets so their kids can play numerous games and win a goldfish while mom and dad drink beers). While church carnivals have always made me raise a brow, this particular church carnival site had me fuming.

As we passed a local Catholic church in Osseo we saw a HUGE blow up slide that was suppost to be a replica of the Titanic. REALLY?! Seeing dozens of kids standing in line to slide down this sinking ship while they scream with glee made me want to puke. Number one - what jack ass created this inflatable "joy ride" and thought it was funny? Number two - what company executive decided that this was a good product to produce? An number three - who in their right mind would rent this? A church of all places.

Way to take a historical tradgedy and turn it into child's play. What next? Maybe a burning World Trade Center inflatable for kids to jump out of? Get real people.

Photo of the actual slide we saw.

Another Zoe Moment

So I am a mother to a 5-year-old little ballerina princess named Zoe. I think she is the smartest, cutest, funniest lil' thing on the planet....don't hate - I'm her mom and you should think the world of your kids! Today during dinner I asked her what her favorite thing to do was, she replied with, "My favorite thing to do is play games.....and eat Cheetos!" Kids are the best. At what age exactly do we lose that frame of mind?
